This website and its FAQs have been developed through a collaboration between Australian Payments Plus (AP+), as operator of the eftpos network, Mastercard and Visa, facilitated by Australian Payments Network (AusPayNet), to support clear and consistent information about the removal of card surcharging.

The collaboration does not alter the separate roles, responsibilities or legal obligations of the organisations involved. Each organisation remains independently responsible for its own rules, decisions, communications and implementation activities, including, in the case of AP+, Mastercard and Visa, their respective card network rules relating to surcharging.

The website is maintained by AusPayNet, with content developed in consultation with the other participating organisations.
